Only You Can Prevent Sunburn

It's a recipe for disaster. It's finally getting a bit warmer. You've got a Memorial Day beach trip planned. You know you need some sun to counteract the winter pastiness you've acquired from spending hours in your basement watching Youtube videos.

Before slathering on that tanning oil and developing pre-cancerous moles, equip yourself by watching this song:

Any sunburn stories? We'd love to hear 'em.

I was out on a boat all day, and i brought sunscreen... but it ran out and i only was able to have the bottom of my face covered. Now i have an embarrassing line between a nice tan and a raging sunburn right through the middle of my face! Ouch!

Here's a combination for a ridiculous sunburn that I found out about the hard way:

- Mexican Sun
- 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- top deck of a cruise ship
- no shirt
- fair, white chest/stomach skin

It made my cruise miserable, I could barely move.
Thankfully I'm over it now. :-)

Ah! One of my favs... :) I love Link's face-makin' and dancin', the trumpet solo, but most of all the look Rhett shoots Link at the very end! ROTFL!!

They are both wind instruments and brass instruments.
A wind instrument is any instrument that requires you blowing into it in some form to make it play.
A brass instrument is (almost) any wind instrument that is traditionally made out of metal. (Saxophones and flutes are the two exceptions.)

You probably confused the term "wind" with "woodwind," which represents any instrument that was originally made out of wood/has a reed.

Do trumpets count as wind instuments? I always thought they were brasses. I'm the opposite of musically gifted.

I always go to the beach covered from head to toe for fear of sunburning, and I live in Oregon where we only get direct sun one maybe two days a year. Some how it burns worse through the clouds.

I once got pretty burnt, then took a long car trip a day or 2 later. Sweat bubbles under the dead skin all over my back was kinda rank.

I checked your site and watched this this morning. It's always been one of my (many) favorites! I shared it with a few people throughout the day, but I didn't realize until just now that THIS weekend is Memorial Day weekend. So, I learned two things: to beware of sunburn and to pay more attention to the date.

It doesn't matter what I try, sunburns are inevitable for my fair-skin. My worst one was when I attended a weekend long music festival and found myself with the worst burn that turned into the worst tanlines, most specifically a sock line, shirt line, and shorts line. I couldn't get rid of it all summer... and I couldn't lie down comfortably for quite awhile either. Good memories... thanks for that reminder.

Okay, seriously. Is there any wind instrument Link CAN'T play!
Quick! Someone fetch him an oboe!

And sunburn's not a problem for me.
I'll be working on my anti-tan all summer.

Brian-
Rhett is the musical genius of the guitar.
Link is the musical genius of all wind instruments.
Enough said.

LOL @1:26 - low falsetto, that's always a hard one for me but you held it out - nice job!

incidentally, did some yard work yesterday and DID have a base tan but the sun looks at that base tan and says "pfft! I"M THE SUN."

2 Questions and a comment

1. So which one of you guys did this happen to?

2. When did you learn to play the trumpet Link? I always thought Rhett was the musical genius part of the duo but with this added instrument in your repertoire I think I might of been wrong and Link is actually the musical genius. Or maybe it's both of you.
