I love this song, especially the "shaft" part. I also love the fact that the Friday that this song was released the TSX (toronto stock exchange) jumped up 700 points or 7-9%, like many around the world. It was as if the person holding all the buttons (or pulling the levers) said: No, I have got to do something. Rhett and Link must be able to finish their song!

Koee vee, "getting predictable"? Let's review Rhett and Link's last 8 songs...all done in the past 3 months.

1. Buffet Song - a club mix where they repeat what people are saying about a buffet
2. BBQ Song - a country blue-grass anthem, performed live with a backing band
3. The Cheese Rap - a rap by animate cheeses
4. Food Cart Song - a feel good, recorder driven song
5. Maine Man - an R&B "slow jam"
6. World's Largest Song - a spoken word electronic/rock ditty
7. Internet Overdose - a modern pop-rock song
8. Economy Song - a dark, minor, blues song.

If you call that predictable....PLEASE let us all know what you consider unpredictable, we're all ears.

nice guys. i like the new sound much more than a lot of your old stuff. it was becoming very predictable.

19 seconds? Really? I'm so disppointed with myself. I should be able to get 40+ by the time I submit my video. I've been doing breathing exercises.

And I only managed to stay with you guys 'till about eleven central. the song is pretty great, though. Just different from you normal style, s'all.

So I unintentionally said 'Shaft' 5 times today. Thanks for embedding it into my brain.

I had a great time watching you guys until 3. (Not sure when you actually got it all done. You're hard workers.) And it looks even better finished, I'll spread it around the net

"That's him right there, the tall one with the turtleneck...should we tell him?" Loved it and busted but felt a lil morbid myself. Keep it up guys, this supernote thing has the potential of being huge...I feel it.

Great job guys! It was fun watching the creative process until I finally bailed about midnight. The finished product looks awesome!

hahaha

Man, I sounded like a weak-winded idiot on the phone last night! Anyway, great video guys and thanks for including my suggestion. I hope your Super-note thing goes a long way, as I'm sure it will.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Haha... great song guys! I wish I could have watched the production of it, but my Internet went off near the end of the show :(

I did, however, time myself for one sustained note: 38.28 seconds! It was fun :)

Totally agree with the rest of the folks here, you Guys did a great job on this new song and it was cool to see the song writing process at work. Thanks for letting us be a part of the synergy last night!

I'll be practicing for the SuperNote this weekend and hitting up all my family and friends to tape and submit an SN for Team Rhett&Link!

Have a great week off Guys!

I wish I could have watched last night!! I LOVE the song!! Very good musical quality, and so true about the scary/unstable state of our economy!

Had a great time last night adding to the song suggestions...the ending turned out great!

Got booted from the chat room for saying the word "beer" twice...but, whatever, I guess I understand the need to keep it family oriented (though "beer" is made by monks in monasteries all around the world....I'm a little bitter;-)

Nevertheless, a great show, a great experience and a great song.

Great job guys! I stayed up until 1:30am ET watching the creative process, and it's great to now be able to see it all done...I can't believe you were literally up all night doing this! :-) You work together so well! Keep up the good work!

For one nights work, This turned out amazing. I stayed with you guys until 1:20ish-1:30 central time.. then I had to go to bed for my 9 am which I should be leaving for right now... haha

Anyways, Great video! I like how you captured the depressing blues feel on camera. Thanks for sharing the creative process with us! Your hard work is appreciated!

(btw, I LOVE how the ending turned out!)

Awesome job, guys! It was really fun to watch the whole process last night. Well, as much as I could stay awake for. Had to go to bed eventually. Though I left the computer on and let you lull me to sleep with the gentle sounds of Link shouting "Shaft!" over and over, lol. I can't believe you did it all in one night. Hope you're getting some much deserved sleep right now.

Awesome show, though I missed it live. Stupid college. I'm really surprised at how horrible everyone was (other than Rhett of course) at the note sustaining. The firs time I tried, I lasted 39 seconds.

It was also really cool seeing you guys at work. I think I heard "Shaft!" at least a hundred times. Good stuff.

Great work guys...it was fun watching the creative process. It was a good reminder of T. Edison's quote about genius being 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. You guys definitely put the work in as well as the talent. I held out til 1:20 c.s.t. or so...hope you will do this again some time. Keep the creative juices flowin'

Great show, thanks for having me on! You guys are amazing. Hardest working dudes online. Keep it up!
