Happy Thanksgiving to my mythical beastly neighbours further South!
I live in Canada so thanksgiving was over awhile ago, but I am still thankful for so many (random) things. I am...
Thankful for global warming (in the short term) for making this a really snow-less, frost-less, and non-toe numbling November that it has been.
Thankful that there is little hype about black friday in Canada and therefore a lower number of new reports involving shoppers trampled by other shoppers
Thankful for the internetainment provided on this site, in much needed times of studying-induced, sleep-deprived hysteria and
Thankful for all the people who are on top of the kommunity and blog posts.

I am sorry that I haven't commented on the blog for quite some time now since I (like Caity Brown) end up gravitating towards the kommunity site quickly after seeing the blog/ vlog that gets sent to my email.

Happy Holidays and have a safe (trample free) Black Friday!

Well, first, I didn't think you were that boring(contrary to popular belief) :)
I found this Vlog quite informative :)

What WE do on Thanksgiving: Our Thanksgiving typically ends up rather boring...We sit around the table, Pray, say things that we're thankful for, read a Bible verse(that can never remember) AaannnnDdddD: ...eat turkey(which is the popular belief :P)
And my parents, and grandparents will talk about politics and how the worlds is coming to an end soon...Grandpa falls asleep in his chair, Grandma lectures our mother on how much better raised the kids could have been...Our brothers watch football And then we play PiT! Which is the loudest card game ever created :)

sometimes we play music...But that is on RARE occasion, like if someones dying...but they don't usually come back the next year :O

This year, for the first time in all 20 years of my parents marriage: Our grandparents on our Dad's side are coming to our house for Thanksgiving.
Every year for the past 20 years, my parents, and whatever sibling was alive at the time would travel to some odd place where our Grabdparents lived...We are breaking Tradition tomorrow!

Saddening...And Happening!

I am going to go out on a limb(sounds dangerous)
and say: That the first Thanksgiving was probably WAY more exciting than the now :P
But...that's just because...You know, it was awesome!

Ok guys, I'm testing how the reply works using my Kommunity ID!
As far as Thanksgiving goes, we don't have any huge traditions, besides turkey and other superb foods. Usually we go to a relatives house, but a couple times we've gone to a restaurant. This year we're all going to my aunt's house.

By the way...I've been having trouble not laughing whenever I see or hear people blow their nose. I keep thinking they are "Dropping the Turkey" and I can't help but smile. LOL!
Happy Thanksgiving!

I am thankful for breathing.
I am thankful for seeing.
I am thankful for hearing.
I am thankful for being.

I most thankful for Jesus and His awesome grace for this wretched sinner.
Without Him I most likely wouldn't be thankful for anything.

In Canada we finished the season of thankfulness more than a month ago. Now we're already into the season of greediness (also Jesus' birthday).

My family doesn't really have any Thanksgiving traditions...unless you count eating. But i'm very thankful for my tradition-less family. I'm also thankful for the kommunity, because, lets face it. The kommunity has the most awesome people i have ever seen.

And a great many thanks to you, Rhett and Link. I shall endeavor to kontinue to kontribute to the kommunity through my kartooning and will also kome komment on your blogs. (and eventually I will get the "see" key fixed on my komputer keyboard... but that's more of a New Year's resolution kind of thing than a Thanksgiving kind of thing... all the more reason to thank the kommunity where these things are okay!)

I am very, very thankful for this Kommunity and for you, Rhett & Link! Since discovering you guys and your many YouTube Videos, and this Kommunity, my life has been filled with a whoole lot more laughter and enjoyment! :)

My Thanksgiving tradition is simple: family and food. I know this is nothing "unique", but to me, there is nothing better than gathering in together, smelling all the good food, and just enjoying each others company! I am so thankful for what a great, big family I have!

Oh, and another thing about Thanksgiving I love? Waking up at 3:00 a.m. or earlier the next morning to shop!! :D

Thank you, Rhett and Link, and alll other mythical beasts for making this Kommunity what it is!

I am so proud of the e-hermit! We're of an ilk, you know. Clansmen, you might say. Except, he's much more left-brain and I'm righter (women are always righter, you know). And, I'm so proud of all the beasts who are doing their part to show the world what a vibrant kommunity we are!

Happy Thanksgiving each and every one of you! Don't forget to give thanks for the windows that let you see outside. That's important.

Ok... I'm recovered now...

That is officially the best comment I have ever read, Foote. I was covered in sweat and tears by the end... Nicely played!

And the rest of you... Hang on for the ride... There may be stuff coming and going, working and exploding, scores and fails... I'll try to concentrate on the the first part of each of those.. no promises though!

The other day, I was driving in my car and needed to blow my nose. Conveniently, I keep a stash of extra napkins from drive through adventures in a inconspicuous compartment in the door. Now it's important to understand that I value safe driving, and I strive to keep both hands on the wheel as much as I can, in order to avoid catastrophe. That being said, there are times where I would be a more attentive driver if I take a moment to correct a nuisance or distraction, and this was one of those times. Unfortunately it would not turn out to be your typical nose-blowing-while-driveing dinner conversation stories, comical disaster ensues.

I glance down to the here to fore mentioned inconspicuous compartment and take my left hand down to acquire a napkin, a Wendy's napkin in this instance, and here comes the tricky part. In a masterful display of skill and premeditated movements, I assigned my left knee to take over the steering portion of the operation of the vehicle, while I used both hands to cradle the Wendy's napkin securely around my nostrils, for I knew right away that this was to be a two handed nasal expulsion event, and with a quick, deep inhale, I forced much air out through my nose in one high-pressured burst. I had planned for this to be the end, and was ready to fold the now moist napkin in half and place it gently into the complimentary Jiffy Lube rubbish receptacle bag concealed between the driver and passenger seats, but to my horror, something went terribly amiss.

If you have a week stomach or are easily grossed out, this is where you should stop reading.

If you're still reading, this is where the story really begins.

As I exhorted a lungful of breath through the smaller portals of my face, there was a clog; an obstruction not easily negotiated with. The pressure was already released however, and the natural path of escape was compromised, so the stringy mucus was forced to exit by an alternative route. And thus, a glob of snot shot out through my left eye and splattered loudly against the inside of my sunglasses.

A myriad of neurons misfired in my reactive system at that moment. I was prepared for nothing that was happening. Suddenly I found myself unable to see with one eye, crippling my depth perception and causing my brain to scramble for understanding. I'm still driving, steering with my knee, holding a Wendy's napkin to my face, snot dripping onto my cheek from my sunglasses, and my left eye was irritated and tearing excessively. I needed to regain control before causing an vehicular unfortunance.

Calming my self, I realized that I was still holding the Wendy's napkin over my nose, and in one swift movement I relocated my right hand back to the steering wheel and utilized the napkin to clean up my left eye. In my haste I forgot to remove my sunglasses and ended up pushing them up over my brow, causing the glob of snot to smear from my eyebrow, up my forehead and into my hair. In a spasm of frustration I must have unintentionally applied more pressure to the execrator at the same time my right arm, that was then controlling the steering wheel, tightened pulling the direction of the car slightly to the right.

Feeling the car climbing onto the curb, I knew I was heading for trouble. My instincts took over and I returned both hands to the steering wheel, regained control of the car, took a deep breath, and slowly removed my sunglasses, wiped my eye and eyebrow, sat up straighter in my seat, cleared my throat and made it the rest of the way home without incident.

It wasn't until I got home and tried to embrace my wife that it came to my attention that I still had a glob of snot clinging to the front of my hair.
