Hey, Y’all best be bubble wrappin’ the kiddies cuz Link might be driving thru a school zone near you! Hehehe, Link, I only tease. I’ve had a ticket for impeding traffic and a speeding ticket in the 32 yrs I have been driving. I paid the 1st ticket and went to traffic school for the speeding ticket.

Yikes that is almost double the speed limit. Hope it turns out well for you. I had a co-worker who was going to get $120 and 3 de-merit points off his driving license (which would have cost him big on insurance) and took that day off to fight it in court. He only had to pay $50 and no de-merit points. So I hope you didnt have to leave too many Hamilitions or Jacksons.

LOL, just a few months ago I got a 45 in a 25 too! Just past the school zone though, thank goodness. And somehow, even though I got “court supervision” earlier that year (which I think is like your “Prayer for Judgement” in IL), I was able to get court supervision again, for a different county… But then I’m REALLY in trouble if I speed again, I think, so I’ve since slowed it down. I can’t help it sometimes though–I drive over two hours every day, on the expressways. Sometimes, you just forget where you are and rushing trees begin to look normal…

but Link, no matter how stylin you are, tickets in a school zone can be nasty!

I almost got a ticket once…. but I batted my eyelashes at the officer.. I was 17 and long and lean… and I had some eyelashes worth batting… — and I got off with a warning.

Looking forward to the court update… I see Link is working on it now…

Haven’t gotten a ticket lately but I did have to do a fake trial in civics class. One word: TORTURE! But as unfortunate as it seems, I suppose you don’t have a choice.

I’ve only been driving for about a year now, so I’ve never gotten a speeding ticket…
But I have helped my dad get out of a couple by pretending to have to pee. xD

Ugh, that blows. I would expect someone as well known as you to have a courtesy card. No cop fans? .. Last time I got a speeding ticket, I was 16 years old driving 70 in a 55 and it was Christmas Eve. I remember crying. Not sure if they were real tears or an attempt for sympathy.

I absolutely HATE that feeling when the blue and red lights flash behind you… I get the chills everytime I even pass a police car. Brrrh. I’ve been pulled over about three times I guess, but I’ve never had a ticket. Just one parking ticket but I’m not counting that.

I hope everything turned out ok at the court house!

I never got a speeding ticket, but I did get a ticket for an expired tag on my license plate while I was downtown renewing it. I should have went to court but it was only 15 bucks.

45 in a school zone? you are screwed. In CA they would not let you off and I think fines are double in construction & school zones.

I think in Indiana a “Prayer for Judgment (?)” is known as a deferral.
I, personally, have never gotten pulled over, but my husband has probably gotten about 10 or more in his 13 years of driving. After having many a “conversation” (*ahem*) with him about how much it costs for him to drive 15 over the speed limit, he’s settled down quite a bit. I’m thinking old age has helped that a little too.
