The premise is simple. You tell us who to call and what message you’d like to deliver. Then we do it. It’s RhettandLinKalls, Vol. 1.
As you can probably tell, this was a lot of fun. Thanks to all of you who submitted your ideas to us on our Facebook Page. Depending on what the Beasts and the Internet at large think of this, we’ll do it again. And when we do, we’ll let you know with a video on our second YouTube channel(and here on our site, of course).
Strange things have been happening in the Kave lately…
We haven’t seen the orb of death since that mysterious day.
We hope you enjoyed our experimental video, because we’d like to do more of these scripted sketch comedy videos this year. We learn a lot each time we put one of these together. So what did you think? Should we do more of these? Of course, we’ve got more music videos and other stuff coming town the line anyway.
The time has come for us to speak up, or at least squeak up, for the little guy:
We had fun with this one. It was one of those videos that we had to make once we thought of it. Be your Mythical Best and pick up the song on iTunes, or for a discounted rate, you can buy it right on our brand new Music page here on the site. Check out the new page and give us your feedback!
For those of you interested in playing the song or making authentic squirrel sounds, watch the video from our second YouTube channel. Subscribe to our second channel for more vlogs like this one. WARNING: we are not responsible for any altercations you have with squirrels when making these amazingly authentic sounds.
This song marks the return of our “Submit a Song Idea” series from a couple of years back. It’s simple. We take song ideas from you, pick the ones we like, and make them into music videos. Thanks to Naomi who gave us this idea a while ago, and congrats to her for winning the Nexus One from Google, which we received from our friends at YouTube.
Now it’s your turn, Mythical Beasts. Give us your song ideas…NOT lyrics, NOT tunes….just ideas. The person whose idea we select and songify next will receive their very own pair of Mythical Shoes in their choice of color and size! We’ll take ideas from anywhere, including below in a comment!
It’s hard to believe, but the Tweak Rhett & Link Mythical Shoe is HERE! Of course, it must be revealed in dramatic fashion:
Thanks to the literally thousands of you who contributed ideas through your comments, pictures, and videos. We were blown away by the quality and quantity of the responses. We were also floored at how quickly designer Guy Marshall was able to design the final shoe, and how fast the Tweak team was able to manufacture the first couple of pairs!
We are extremely happy with the final product, and we think the Mythical Shoe is truly awesome, unique, and affordable. We look forward to wearing them…A LOT. Tweak has gone the extra mile and is offering two different color schemes to choose from, two sets of laces and a guitar pick with every pair, and a wide range of sizes.
Thanks for being a part of Internet (and Internetainment) history, whether you sent in an idea or just kept up with the process. Now, show your true Mythical Beastliness and buy a pair! Get the Black/Gray ones if you wanna go a bit understated, and go with the Blue/Green pair if you wanna make even more of a statement. We think the Mythical Shoe is the perfect back-to-school accessory, or the perfect casual Friday footwear for you office types. As soon as you get your pair, we wanna see how you’re customizing the back window. Thanks to that customization feature, it’s possible for every pair of Mythical Shoes to be different…just like every Mythical Beast. We think that’s cool.
So, comment below with your favorite part of the Mythical Shoe! Which pair are you getting? Check them out at the Tweak Store now!
Who do you think won the rap battle? How do you think the story should continue? Did you call Tiffany? Comment below!
Thanks to Dentyne Pure for making this video possible (and for making the scene where our noses are touching tolerable). Also, thanks to all the help we received in putting this video together from Derrick, Sam, Karl, Mike, Lance, Lacey, Rene, Christy and our kids. Thanks to Paula and Cooley’s restaurant in Fuquay for letting us shoot on location, as well as Jason and Cape Fear Fitness in Lillington. We appreciate the support from local businesses!
