Epic & Honest: Cullman Liq. Commercial

It’s time to sell some trailers!  Or not.  We don’t care.  Actually, we do care.  But then again, we’ve never been hit in the head with a fencepost…or crescent wrench.  So don’t hold it against us.

It’s another RhettandLinKommercial brought to you by Microbilt!  Enjoy the fruits of our labor in Cullman, Alabama.  Special thanks to Robert, Nancy, Star and the gang at Cullman Liquidation for allowing us to drop in.  Oh, and if you’ve got some big computer speakers, be sure to crank ‘em up to enhance the epic-ness of your viewing experience:

If you haven’t seen our behind-the-scenes episode, be sure to watch that in the previous post!

Thanks for sharing this video!

That was AWESOME!!! So EPIC! So dramatic, so cool, so manly. Loved it guys – best one of the series so far. Keep them coming!

I think my favorite part was the shot of the trailer hitch, for some reason…..or the epic walking toward the camera. I’m pretty sure this is my favorite so far, guys.

You guys have the best job in the world. You get to go meet the most interesting people, make them famous for a short time and make money in the process. I’m slightly envious. Great commercial! It wasn’t exactly what I expected based on the behind the scenes video you posted yesterday.

    TalkBak

Oh, dear! I was laughing out loud as I tried to watch it discreetly while I was out shopping. Absolutely brilliant!

    Robin\ robindufilho

I knew after watching the behind-the-scenes yesterday that this would be epically funny; you never disappoint. My favorite part is the you guys standing there with the guys who move them and the epic walk/run at the end. I did nominate a business, my dad’s real estate business in Fond du Lac, WI (please come and see us!).

    Rory\ roryjasonmartin

I’m sorry… I really, REALLY wanted to laugh at this, but most of the time something just felt kind of awkward and creepy somehow… or maybe that’s just me. But the cliched walking-towards-the-camera-in-an-epic-fashion there at the end NEVER fails to disappoint. I STILL gotta nominate someone around here, but there’s nothing as odd as a mobile-home seller in my area…

    Michael Joseph

L.O.V.E. This whole deal. I hope you guys get huge.

    william

This isn’t what I was expecting either.

It was actually about a squintillion times better! You guys are basically creative geniuses.

    Nikki Reed\ Nikki Reed (Chickcharnie)

I grew up in Alabama, and I thought this commercial was great. I never dreamed how you two could make a commercial about a Mobile Home liquidation center but hey, you did it again. I thought you guys made up the part about the fencepost and crescent wrench until I watched the behind-the-scenes segment. Robert Lee is one tough dude. You guys are awesome.

    Christy

Yes, this is super funny. And I nominated my favorite BBQ Place (Also featured in the BBQ song in the Louisianna Picture) Fat Boys BBQ. They are AMAZING. and in Picayune, MS.

    JoJo Dodd\ soccerboy2011

this is especially awesome because I live super close to there. like, I’ve passed it before. This is exciting.

    RandomNigel

I love it when Robert says “Or don’t. I don’t care.” lol, he seemed to do it in a funny way that really grabs a persons attentions.

To be honest, I really like the whole thing… Brutal honesty makes me appreciate these people more. Wonderful job on the commercial guys!

I have not nominated a local business yet. I can’t think of anything that would be worth it! I’ll have to come up with a business for sure.

I am a huge fan of your work and this commercial was GREAT. This is one of your best and I will have a lot of fun sharing it with my fellow Alabamians. I guess it is inevitable that our grand state would be best represented by recycled trailers – just doing our part to protect the environment and preserve our natural habitat,

OMG! What a small world we live in because I live in ALABAMA!!! COOL!
Western theme? LOL! I can hear the good the bad and the ugly theme song right at this second!!! =D

Rhett & Link -As a proud resident of Cullman, AL (pop 13,000) I cannot thank you enough for your visit to our town. We have been huge fans since way back. If we’d known you were here – we would have given you the key to the city. Yall did eat at the best barbecue place while you were here – Johnnys barbecue. If you come back to do the sequel – you’ve got to let us know you’re coming. 256-736-4028- We’ll take you Mullet-Huntin’ @ Wal-Mart

BTW VERY IMPORTANT – you will probably get a call Monday morning from a Nationally Syndicated Radio talk show 60+ stations – “The Rick And Bubba Show” rickandbubba.com based out of Birmingham. They had never seen your work until today. They loved it. their producer Calvin “Speedy” Wilborn will probably call you for an interview – VERY IMPORTANT – DO the interview -these guys are great Christian guys – y’all are a great match for each other. – sincerely Steve Cummings

Well, i think you guys are officially famous now. Thanks again for choosing us! We all had a blast shooting with you two. I’m betting if TV commercials were like these, I wouldn’t be a constant flipper! You both are brilliant and I wish you luck, but I don’t think you need it. I have watched it several times & I still laugh out loud. Everyone I’ve talked to thinks it’s hilarious & they want more! So guys, keep us laughing – it’s a gift you both have!

    Star

Oh yea, I don’t know if you’d wanna come back to Cullman or not – but I’d nominate Skydive Alabama. Their motto is something like……. “I jumped out of a perfectly good airplane” Anyway, I’m not sure how, but I know you guys could make it work! I went for my 25th bday this past May. They are really safe & fun up there, and the view – WOW!

    Star

uuuummm… wow. What to say. I grew up in middle of nowhere Alabama known as Cullman. Since then I have moved to Jacksonville, FL thanks to the Navy. Outside of family I never really expected for it to hunt me down. But low and behold, Im browsing on the internet and heres a video about a business that I passed a million times growing up. Guess you can never truely get away from wherever you are from, huh? Its interesting how different people view different places based off of where you are from. I know I have a completely different outlook on Jacksonville than others that grew up here. I woulnt mind knowing what all you really have to say about Cullman. While I’m proud to be where Im from, it has shaped me into I am today, I’m also all to aware of how much (or how little) Cullman has to offer other than close knit family, friends, and redneck bar fights ;) LOL. the commercial was great guys. It has become and will stay a means for my friends down here to forever tease me, but I don’t think I would have it any other way. I am who I am, right?

You guys were in Cullman! I live in Cullman! I cannot believe you were in Cullman and I didn’t know about it!

I googled cullman liquidators, they have a website, but it would be great if your commerical was linked to their website. I renovate used mobile homes in OH, it was great to see another segment of the mobile home business.

I have painted over my share of floor stains before replacing the flooring lol
