I think Link sounded a bit like Jimmy Stewart in the Oedipus video.
He’s one of my fave actors.

Great Kast. I found out I actually was able to watch it. I forgot that 9 in NC is 8 in IL, so I was able to see it all. The Oedipus video reminds me of a project I did with my friends about Romeo and Juliet. We did it completely ad lib, but then we needed a script so my friend had to watch it and write down what we said. And apparently I own you, cause my family calls you “his Rhett and Link people”, “his” referring to me.

“Oedipus Rhett” was funny! My daughter and I were laughing at Link’s voice and trying to figure out who he sounded like. Then it hit us that it sounded a bit like his R.R. “Real Fancy” Barefoot, Sr. voice.
When you were going on and on beforehand about being such hicks I was not sure what to expect, but you guys mostly just looked and sounded like normal 15 year olds to me.
I guess you’re part of the first video generation so you have all the silliness of your youth documented in both sight and sound.
(anyone not wanting to read a long rant about the good old days just stop right now…)
People from my generation (I was already old in 1994) don’t have that much documentation and we can spin the stories a bit to not look quite so bad to our kids. For instance, I have a totally dorky picture of me and my high school boyfriend on the night of the school Sweetheart Banquet (Baptist high school…no prom) and we look like something out of someone’s worst nightmare. But there is no evidence remaining of him singing along with Neil Diamond and Barbra Walters on “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers Anymore”. And there is no video of me trying to hide behind my crazy hair and falling off my Candies shoes. So I can show this to my kids and say “Oh yeah, we dressed crazy, didn’t we? And yeah, he was a little weird, that’s why I married your daddy instead.” And they can pretend to believe I was just dating him out of sympathy and that I was really much cooler than I was.

That was an awesome Kast! I loved getting a glimpse of Rhett and Link in their early days. You guys know how to feed us mythical beasts every Thursday night! Can’t wait for the “Puppies” song release and hopefully MP3 download! I caaaannn’t get enough of it!
