Facing Our Food Fears
In today’s vlog, we face our food fears, announce KBE winners, and float an exquisite theory out for discussion. Enjoy:
Congratulations to the Picky Eating KBE winners: Connor and Rick!!
Rick and Connor, now make a video response where you give us a completely random phrase to incorporate into an upcoming vlog (just keep it tasteful and not too long!).
Check out all the submissions and read all the theories in the Kommunity KBE Forum. Thanks to all the mythical beasts who contributed. And thanks to Kangawolf and Polarfox for Korresponding. Be sure to sub their YouTube channel: HorribleFiction.

Okay – I love sushi, how could you not? But as far as Liver and Onions go – DISGUSTING!!!! I have always told my kids that for as long as they live in my house, they will never have to eat liver. Rhett….next time, just swallow!! It was painful to watch how long you chewed that, I even started to feel sick.

I commend you both for trying those foods!!! I have had liver before (didn’t like it)…in fact, my mom ate liver at least twice a month whilst pregnant with me (and she hated the stuff but did it for me, thanks Mom!). I have also had sushi before…but not restaurant kind, only the kind served on airplanes, which is pretty gross. So, I must say, kudos for trying two foods I also really dislike!!
I also really like your theory on food pickiness. I’m not a terribly picky eater and I like to say I’m adventurous, and that supports your theory.
Your trying these foods out reminds me of some food/drink that a friend of mine recently tried whilst in China. He posted two pictures on Twitter: http://twitpic.com/1qp94r and http://twitpic.com/1qp8nb. That food/drink was rice alcohol infused with seeds, ants, herbs, tiger bones, and whole snakes! I’ve eaten a lot of strange things, but that tops it.
The extent of my adventurous eating extends only to things like cow/pig tongues, dog/monkey meat, frog legs, “diniguan” (pig intestines cooked in pig’s blood), and fish eyeballs. This Christmas, I’m going to try “balut” (raw, mostly developed duck/chicken fetus, eaten whole, straight from the egg).

I seriously was laughing so hard watching Rhett try to swallow that. I am the pickiest eater I know. You guys are very brave and I wouldn’t eat either of those things.

When I was a kid I didn’t want to eat my beans at dinner one particular evening. It was a Wednesday and we had Bible study that night. I kept those beans in my mouth for over an hour and was still chewing on them after our 30 minute drive to church. My mom torments me with that story. I tell my kids that it’s a lot easier to swallow it than to keep tasting it. Been there, done that.
I’m with Link, the thought of eating raw fish just isn’t pleasant.

I rewound that just to watch Link giggling like a girl a second time. You guys are hilarious!!! And Rhett, I haven’t puked in 7 years, so after watching you gag, I’m staying faaaaaaaar far away from liver, hahaha.
