After a long wait, our 80′s music video is here. Thank you to everyone who sent us props for this historic effort. This is really what the internet is all about!! We couldn’t have made this without your help. And, we can’t expect this video to get out to the masses without more help, so please share it with anyone and everyone. It can either be an opportunity for people to relive memories from that amazing era, or simply a history lesson for you youngsters. Enjoy!
Thanks for the props!

Plus, we couldn’t have made this video without the assistance of Mike Quadrel, who did everything from run the music for the lip-syncing to purchase last minute Rubik’s Cubes. Thanks Mike! Thanks also to Rick Gendreau. Not only did Rick drive all the way from Virginia to bring his prized DeLorean, but he also stepped right in and helped us with production (it’s a pretty small operation. If you show up, you’re automatically part of the production team).
We had so much fun making this one, and we hope to have even more fun watching it spread across the web!
Also, don’t forget that this was the whole reason for our 80s CBE. Many great entries have already been posted. Join the Kommunity and make your entry for a chance to win props from our videos.

I gotta download this from iTunes sometime!
watching it now on my iPod. I wish I was born in the 80′s! It’s Great!! Amazing Guitar, Rhett!!!
OOOOOOOHHHH!!!
Eyeshadow really becomes you both!
loved it!!
my personal memories are a little fuzzy of the 80′s
but I think you two NAILED it!
I am telling my age but this brings back memories..lol.. great song…I love it! You guys look great as an 80′s hairband!
Wow! Such memories from my early childhood! We had the black and green screen computer in my house and I remember using them in my early years in elementary school. I used to love Lite Brite! Too bad we don’t have it anymore. Thanks for sharing your video guys!
[...] now, behold the blog post, in all it’s posty glory. [...]

Wow, you got to be able to drive/use a delorean…now that takes me back….TO THE FUTURE THAT IS… muahahahahah…
I so downloaded the song. It was epic, guys. Well worth the wait. <3
Download as in, bought and downloaded, of course. :p
Definitely worth the wait! The giant stereo brought back many memories of me in elementary school, sitting on my porch trying to impress other kids in the neighborhood. ha!
I was impressed with every aspect of this song and video!
Definitely worth the wait.
I love the little things, like the fact that Lost Boys was on the VHS, and your mixed tape was of Lionel Richie and Iron Maiden.
And that giant video camera brought back memories-we had one when I was a kid, it came with it’s own brief case for storage.
Excellent video, really.
That was so totally awesome!! Brought back memories for me too! Those indoor shots showing the old carpet and wood paneling….ahhhh, just like home! Heheheh, and I spy with my little eye Lionel posing on the TV. Classic!!!
yeah I saw Lionel too, but you beat me to the punch! Love it… I wish I could calculate with my watch! My watch is really cool though. It has these really cool animations in the background by some Japanese people. It’s not like a cartoon, just these white lines bouncing back in forth in front of a cool blendy rainbow type background. I also wish I had a camera the size of an overweight parrot… or a phone the size of an old timey radio. I also wish i had a delorean. On this website based off of I Can Has Cheezburger, it said on a pie chart titled “Reasons to want a DeLorean”:
Smallest section: It’s a well-crafted, highly dependable automobile
Second Smallest section: It has gull-wing doors
Largest section: Marty McFly
nicely done. talk about memories….i remember the hours playing with fig on that very racetrack. Now if you need some help with the 50′s……………..hula hoop, record player, vacines in sugar cubes…..
That was AWESOME! Well worth the wait! One of the funniest things you’ve done in awhile!
I can’t think of any better way to describe this than internetainment at it’s absolute finest!!!
… the funny thing is that some of that stuff (such as floppy discs, cassette tapes, etc.) I still use today!
I don’t usually post three comments in a row like this, but I guess I will today!
I noticed, Link, that only your left hand had black nail polish painted on it… was that on purpose?? Also, at about 0:38, not even the left one was painted; was that part shot on a different day or something?
thank you for saying that you couldn’t have done it without me that truly means a lot to me … the shots i took from the back of links car look amazing im glad i didnt mess those up its an awesome part of the video
You are the LUCKIEST person ever to work with the “legends”. I am jealous… times my age… squared… multiplied by infinity… to the power of infinity… you get the idea
wow… lol awesome video :
AWESOME. Great job, guys!
These are my favorite costumes you guys have worn so far.
And this is Link’s first time on lead vox, right? Sounds great!!
I was a teenager in the 80s, that was my decade, and I think that was an awesome tribute. I think it is cool how you guys can poke fun at something without really ripping on it. It was a cheezy decade to be sure, but a lot of us dearly loved it and really miss it.You guys are funny, but you also have a lot of class. Nice work.
THIS SO NUTTY AND GOOD!! Link looks like a freaky alternate Link from a different universe!
I think I might have been born in the 80′s, and then was reborn in the 90′s… I like alot of things from the 80′s. One of my favorite shows is Alf, I love the Atari, I love old computers, I love Back to the Future, my favorite band is Queen, and so many other things. The 80′s just sound so awesome.
btw I saw ijustine on a mozy commercial. Am I the only one?
Hey… I just realized… my TV is thick, wooden, AND from the 80′s!
I like this more every time I watch it.
Do you guys think you could give me some tips? I am an “amindie” (I made that word up: amateur indie) filmmaker. I am very amateur, as in I really suck, and I am very indie, as in I am the only one who is doing anything to make these films. What camera should I use? How do you think up such amazing ideas? What is the key to good acting? And other things. Thanks, it would be awesome if you responded.
[...] Wow. It gets better every time!! Rhett & Link sure are legendary! Of course, they couldn’t have done this video without the help of many members of their community that have refused to throw away precious items from the 80s. All of which you saw in the video. You can see a complete list of all the people that helped out on their website. [...]

The Delorean pushed this beyond awesome into purely mind-blowing. I was expecting a cherried-out wood-side K-Car!…like in your “please lend us stuff” ad.
Any which way, I dug it plenty and have been forwarding it on to everyone I can think of. I really enjoy you guys’ work. You’re a couple of funny, funny dudes.
Great! Now I feel old. Good thing I’m still awesome.
Hey they have you guys on Jimmy Fallon Page now to GOOD WORK http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com/
is the Aaron Cohen that lent you the snake toy, the Aaron Cohen from the Radioactive Chickenheads?
how i can download this ?
