Many of you have asked, and the day is finally here. We’re having our first screening (outside of film festivals) of our award-winning documentary, Looking for Ms. Locklear. On Saturday, August 29th at 7PM at the Galaxy Cinemas in Cary, NC, we’re not only showing the movie, but there will also be a live musical performance from us, a Q&A time, and an introduction to some of the stars from the film. It’s going to be an extremely special one-time event, and we really hope you can make it.
Tickets are available for purchase online HERE. Online tickets are $10 and tickets are $12 at the door. However, we’re really expecting this to sell out, so we encourage you to act quickly and grab your spot now.
More details, including a map to the theater, are available at the films page. If you’re on Facebook, you can RSVP to the event (not required, but a great way for us to see who’s coming).
Even if you’re not in NC, we’d love for you to come out and be a part of this special event. We’re actually reserving a block of hotel rooms at a discounted rate for anyone planning to make the road trip. If you’re thinking about coming from out of town, please let us know and we’ll give you the hotel details.
And to anticipate your next question, yes, the movie will eventually be coming out on DVD, but we’re not exactly sure when. Plus, as we’ve hopefully communicated, this event is about a lot more than just watching the movie…we’re really hoping it’ll be a great experience for everyone involved. But, we know that some of you just won’t be able to make it, and the movie will eventually be available on DVD. We’ll keep you posted.

Darn!!! So many things I miss out on!!! This is one I am especially disappointed to have missed. I bought the dvd (came in the mail two days ago!!!! XD ) but watching it with you guys would have been unreal! Maybe you guys could do another one for its 10 year release date anniversary or something. That way I’d be old enough to take myself to it! ^.^
I just graduated and moved from NC to Seattle. I wish you guys had the premier earlier this summer. Movie looks good!
Hey there- I am totally all for the movie on many many levels. I wish you could come to New Zealand to present it, with live musical performance nonetheless. My History class have been enjoying your videos as distractions from the history of the New Zealand economy (videos far more uplifting and educational). So here is my plea:
1. Come to New Zealand and show the film.
2. Make it so that I can get a copy of the film on itunes nz.
or 3. Both of the above.

Ah man, there’s no way I could get out there. The trip from WA to NC is quite lengthy…plus I’m pretty much out of cash. I wish I could be there, though, and I’ll be sure to get the DVD when it comes out! =]
Sadly, I will not be able to make it. I’ll be back at school at this point and NC is a bit far from MN to travel for the weekend.

Yeah, I’ll try and talk the wife into making a trip down to your neck of the woods, but something tells me that I’ll have to wait and buy the DVD (or hope to win a copy through the CBE…:).
According to Google maps it would take 14 hours from NH to Cary NC. A little bit too far for a person with no car…..maybe I could ride my bike? That wouldn’t work……

I wish I could make it but I have work until 6:30pm on saturday and something tells me it would take more than an hour to get get from Toronto to NC. *sigh* I will just have to await the day when the DVD goes into circulation.

The ticket price was good, I found a cheap hotel, had the car covered, then saw the ticket prices for flights

Ahhhhh!! There is a REALLY good possibility that I might be able to go to this guys! Yeah, sure its an 11 hour drive…but it would SO be worth it!!! I’m still not quite sure if I’m going to be able to make it, but I’m going to do my best.

Will you be there? It would be great to meet you! You guys are the best, and one of my dreams is to meet you somehow. Immediately when you find out when it comes out on DVD, announce it, and where it is selling. The trailer is amazing! I’ll be sure to check out the photos.
