I can think of a plaque they can put there:
19 East Front Street: The first site in Lillington to be shot in a youtube video that reached more than one million view hits!
Drat, now we have to find the new one all over again…..
Lots of memories. I remember calling in way back in 2008. Writing the Economic Melt Down Song. The little mouse that you tried to catch. The Pig Pickin’ that you invited us to. Good times.
I see it as a shrine.
So I decided to do some detective work on the now Disclosed Basement Studio in Lillington, NC. I looked up the address on GoogleEarth to see said Disclosed Location. According to Google Earth, 19 E Front Street is what appears to be an open field. Obviously this is not said Location. Upon further investigation you see, at “68″ E Front Street, a white building. When looked at from the front it looks like a normal building, BUT if looked at from the SIDE you see a door to a VERY FAMILIAR LOOKING basement, what I believe to be THE Basement. I propose that this now Disclosed Basement in Lillington, NC is IN FACT the basement of the Land & Associates Corporate Offices. Am I CORRECT?!

I actually am very sad to see it go. And to think…I was possibly the first iStalker to find the location by gazing at a very fuzzy public satellite photo…ah the memories.
I’m sad to see the basement for the last time, but may you have may new adventures in your new place!

I would offer to drive over from Texas and help you, but my truck is in the shop and my puppy is sick and I think my wife has commited us for something else that conflicts. . .
But seriously, have you found a new tenant yet for the basement studio? I know some folks in the area that are looking for a new location for their nail salon. Could probably afford up to $250 per month, which I understand is not too shabby for a basement rental in the Lillington area.

However, I’m looking forward to the new diggs – and am excited at whats to come for you guys.
I feel a little emoitional about the basement,and I will miss the shows from there. However, wherever where Rhett and Link broadKast from doesn,t matter to me.Moving on means making more wonderful memories for Rhett and Link and all the Mtyhical Beasts. Which I am proud to be one of.
It seems that congratulations and also condolences are required. The new place seems great, so congrats on that, but as for the basement studio…. it is kind of sad….
I’ve always been a little sad to move from one house to another. It’s only happened a couple times in my life, but there’s just something about it…the last walk through, seeing the empty space. And then the time comes when you walk out the door for the very last time and drive away. It’s just kind of a sad and strange feeling, even if you know bigger and better things are coming.
Now that I’ve put myself into a sober mood from remembering my last move, I believe it’s time to end this comment. The basement studio served you (and the beasts) well, and it will be fondly remembered. I always loved the “undisclosed location in our basement studio in Lillington” bit, but they say change is good. And Fuquay really is kind of a fun word to say!
Oh my golly, I share a common tear with my fellow mythical beasts on leaving behind the “home” of R&L! That feeling of moving out of a home is always sad. I will miss the undisclosed basement location, which Rhett just disclosed by the way, if you were beastly enough to catch that. I am excited for the new studio in Fuquay…it’s bigger, and better. Mythical things are going to happen there. Happy new studio, guys!
Congratulations on the new space, guys. While the new space will be amazing, it really is sad to move on from a place where something great started. But just think, one day when you’re sitting in Rhett&Link studios number 4 or 5, you’ll be saying, “remember our first, bug infested, undisclosed, basement studio…”. It’ll be a great story to tell.
Congratulations, again…and try to enjoy moving.

We shall miss you, oh Basement Studio, with your green-and-blue walls, dead bugs, and strange bathroom. Good luck to the new Undisclosed however non-basement-studio and the two internetainers that shall reside in it while their creativity flows.

Awww…I’m a little emotional, and I’m SURE I could have conjured a tear. I actually worked with you guys out of that space a couple of times, dead insects and all (though I’ll always remember Link standing in the doorway, broom in hand, trying his best to clear that up before I arrived). Can’t wait to see the familiar yellow sofa in the new space!
