The premise is simple. You tell us who to call and what message you’d like to deliver. Then we do it. It’s RhettandLinKalls, Vol. 1.
As you can probably tell, this was a lot of fun. Thanks to all of you who submitted your ideas to us on our Facebook Page. Depending on what the Beasts and the Internet at large think of this, we’ll do it again. And when we do, we’ll let you know with a video on our second YouTube channel (and here on our site, of course).
What was your favorite call? Comment below!

Awesome. The first and last calls were best in my opinion. There should definitely be more in this series. Great concept.
epic
delightfully awkward!
The last one was spectacular; you need to call that other girl, it would be so funny! so funny! so freggin’ funny!
lol this totally reminds me of the time when the both of you made prank calls to people selling stuff on Craigslist. Too funny!
Funny stuff, I do think however that it would have been cool if someone who knew who you were answered. I can just imagine my little cousin freaking out to talk to you, but he wouldn’t have anything good to say! Yes do more! at least a few more!
This was so funny. It reminded me of Michael Scott on the office – completely awkward, yet hilariously funny! Well done, as always.
I LOVED this! So funny! I definitely think you should do more of these!
“Jean-balls” “No backwards is on!” and trying to find an identical twin were probably my favorite parts… Awkwardorable is the word I use. Also, I was so busy laughing that I opened my bottle of Dr. Pepper, closed my bottle of Dr. Pepper and then tried to drink from it when it was closed…
I’m incredibly phone shy, so I could see myself really benefiting from this in future. I hope you do it again!
Tori was the best…cute!
I couldn’t stop laughing the entire time! That was sooooo funny
I was drinking sprite and and laughed and got sprite all over me… yeah.
Oh my goodness, this is hilarious! XD
“I’m over him and all of the things he’s put me through.”
“…oh”
^ Best awkward moment of the video.
I’m not a man I’m Jake.
hey i’m jean paul and i loved the comment about the jean balls i thought it’s was awesome and not offensive at all
haha just wanted to let you know.
Ha! I was Laughing the Entire Time. Great Stuff. I Honestly thought, how funny could this be? But you worked your magic. Nicely Done.
It was a bit disconcerting to me that no one knew who you guys were. These were acquaintances in some form or fashion of people who DID know who you were, from which we can derive one conclusion – perhaps you need to pick true fans who inform, nay, entertain their friends/acquaintances with the genius of Rhett and Link. On a more serious note, this was a great idea and I’d love to hear more, please!
“Jean Paul doesn’t have the ‘Jean-balls’” was one of my favorite lines. The other was the globe comment about winding up in the same place and the word “no” meaning “on!”.
You guys play off each other so well. Bravo! Thank you for the laughs!
That video was so totally awkward, that it was awesome!
The first one was deffinatley my favorite. Didn’t she almost hang up? I think so but this new series is awesome I can’t wait for the next one =D Keep up the great work!

I think it’s funny that you kept saying we are from the internet and no one hung up on you. Didn’t like the male part of Sean Paul you mentioned Rhett. Sorry. I liked everything else. I don’t ever want to be a suck up to you guys, so I am being honest. I hope that is OK?
hahaha, u know, if people were less suspicious about who you were and why youre not the person, it could be a whole lot more fun. You should do this again guys, just be sure to mix it up.
It is amazing that some of these people continued to talk to you. It is MORE AMAZING that they didn’t know who you were!
I like this new series you’re doing, guys. It’s simple, yet fun. I remember how I used to prank call people when I was a kid (even though these weren’t prank calls, the concept is somewhat similar).
Although I can’t shake the feeling that Jesse’s ex-girlfriend is not going to be so happy at him now that he asked you to make this kind of a call. I mean, your conversation with Jesse’s ex was in no way offensive, but I don’t think that the girl likes hundreds of thousands of people knowing certain details of her personal life (well, unless you’ve warned her that this conversation is being recorded and will be published and she gave her agreement to publish it).
To be completely honest – I’m not trying to blame you guys for publishing peoples’ personal lives or something. It’s not that. I wanted to know – when do you decide that the call a person is asking to make is out of reach? When is it not acceptable to call people and sort out personal things through a person you don’t know?
Loved your work since the very early days of rhettandlink.com and still do. Just this time I have a question dangling in my head.
WOW! I can imagine how some of those calls would be awkward for your ‘clients’ to make themselves and how VERY awkward it was for you guys to make the calls on their behalf but you two did a GREAT JOB! I think you almost had that last girl rethinking her break up with Jesse!
I think this is a clever idea for further videos and that you should definitely DO MORE.
The best one was definitely the last. “Well, we didn’t get a no… we got… we got pretty much a no, but what’s no backwards?” LOL. Please do more of these.
You guys just keep getting better and BETTER!!! Some great ad-libbing!

That was SO FUNNY! I loved the first girl… she was so confused. “You sounds like a man…” Brilliant.
Testing the comments! Wooo-hoo!
