Before you watch our latest commercial from our I Love Local Commercial series, make sure to check out the behind-the-scenes video. For this one, we decided to head in a slightly different direction. We’ve made a fair number of purposely bad commercials. We wanted to make one that seemed good, but still seemed “off”. So, here it is, our sobering (and ironic) tattoo commercial for True Blue Tattoo in Austin, TX.
Please send this to everyone you’ve ever known who has thought about getting a tattoo, or already has one. We’d love to see this one take off with the tattoo community, too, so if you know of anyone with connections in those online communities, send the commercial to them!

I have a tattoo on my back – a black rose symbol which I took from a RPG my friend and I played back in high school. Honestly I don’t regret getting it cause I waited 3 years before I got it and still wanted it on the day I got it done. If you decide ahead of time what you want and then ponder the decision for a while, then there should be no regrets about it after wards.
The idiots who get drunk and tattoo a possum on their butt … yes, they will regret it.

Very effective commercial guys. The reverse psychology almost worked until the last 5 seconds of the video. Those looks on your faces as you were reliving the tat experience were priceless.
Oh, no tatoos for me. Maybe a belly button piercing though. That is, if I can ever do enough sit-ups… LOL!

As a tattooed person, I find this commercial hillarious! It’s like everything my mother said to me when I got my first tattoo all in one video! Haha.
To be honest, my 5 tattoos have not hindered my abilities in any way in the work place, or in any other manner. And I actually enjoy the fact that they make me stand out a bit.
And I haven’t had any issues with little old ladies yet!
I think this video was awesome, and sent it to a bunch of my tattooed buddies, and they all agreed that it was just about the funniest thing they’ve ever seen!

I don’t have any tattoos just because of the “melted chocolate” look it would probably get when I’m old and wrinkly.
No tattoos for me, and the only piercings I have? 1 in each ear. i’m such a rebel. haha!

The funny thing is that I know that shop. I think I’ve even stuck my head in the door… I know I’ve walked past it… Last time I was in Austin, I even got a tattoo… (OK.. sigh… Yes, it was henna… T.T )
