Photoshop Your Memories

\

We’ve been looking forward to making a music video for this song for a long time! It’s another one of our “takes a lot more time than we thought it would” projects, along the lines of T-shirt War and 2 Guys 600 Pillows. We hope you enjoy it:

Thanks to Canvas On Demand for providing all the canvases. Make sure you download the song, and don’t miss your chance to use the 20% discount coupon. Thanks also to the talented Barrett Phillips for editing this video, and to Derrick, Karl, Nick, and Kyle for helping with the video shoot. This is the last music video we shot before leaving NC for CA.

For those of you who are RhettandLinKommunity members, you can see our video from the set of the music video. It will also show up as a secret video for those of you with the Rhett & Link iPhone app.

Please share this with your friends and family! And, comment below and let us know your favorite part.

My Favorite Pillow

\

Hold on to your hats (or at least your bed sheets). We present our latest music video, costarring us and 600 pillows from SleepBetter.org.

Make sure you don’t miss the “forwards” version of the video at SleepBetter.org! It’s a great way to see how some of these shots came together.

As is probably obvious, we had a blast creating this one. And as you can also probably tell, we got a lot of help with it! Thanks to the talented Barrett Phillips (of Dorito’s SuperBowl Commercial production fame) for serving as Director of Photography and pulling off some amazing camera work. Thanks to Pete Kenny and his TV production class from Campbell University for lending a hand, and thanks to Derrick, Karl, and Brad for all the long hours and pillow lifting and packing (it seems easy to lift a pillow, but carrying 600 all over the place gets a little old).

After you check out the forwards version, head over to the Kommunity to watch Link singing the song backwards, and give it a try yourself.  And don’t forget to support your trusty Internetainers and download the song on iTunes or on our Music page.

So what did you think?  What’s your favorite part of the video?  Comment below!

Judge Judy Song

\

During our vlog with Ashton Kutcher, Link described him as the “next best thing to Judge Judy”. Tom, a mythically beastly member of the RhettandLinKommunity, explained that he had some family connections to the one and only TV judge herself. That led to something wonderful, which led to this vlog song:

Do you have connections with any other celebrities who would like to adorn our wall with an autographed 8X10?

Perfect Bathroom Trip

\

In this day and age, with swine flu and antibiotic-resistant bacteria hanging out around every corner, it’s become common to hear the authorities tell us to wash our hands frequently. Most of us do. But, as our new song hopefully illustrates, there’s more to staying clean than just washing your hands. You’ve got to make sure that you don’t end up re-contaminating yourself during any point in the process. Years ago, we coined this the “Perfect Bathroom Trip”. We’ve been using that terminology for a long time, but we finally made it into a song. Here it is!

Thanks SO MUCH to Julian Smith for lending his unparalleled directing skills (as well as his perfectly goofy acting) to help us make this video. In a very short time in LA, Julian became a great friend. We look forward to working with him on more! Make sure to subscribe to him on Youtube, and write a comment on his channel letting him know that we sent ya.

Thanks also to the ubiquitous iJustine for making another cameo in a stupid Rhett&Link song. She is always a pleasure to work with! If you haven’t familiarized yourself with her work, crawl out from underneath that rock and check her out.

As you might have noticed, there are only a small number of songs on our new 27-song album, Up To This Point, that don’t have a music video. This is actually the first release of a previously “un-music-videod” song, and we’ve got a couple more up our sleeves. If you haven’t picked up the CD yet, why? We’re not ashamed to ask you to buy it because we know you’ll like it! If you don’t want to get the physical CD (which comes with a poster and guitar play-along guide), then you can pick up the album on iTunes and Amazon.

Comment below with your thoughts on the new song!

New Year’s Resolution or Reality?

\

Welcome to holiday limbo, that wonderful period of time between Christmas and New Year’s. First of all, this is a GREAT time to join in on the G.G.T.C.W. KBE if you haven’t already. But, it’s also supposedly the time of year for you to make commitments about various things in the coming year. Well, we think it’s time you accepted reality. The vast majority of New Year’s Resolutions are never fulfilled. Maybe it’s time for a different approach?

Happy New Year!!
