We want to thank those of you who contributed to the Alexis Cohen funeral fund. We’ve learned that some very helpful donations came in. A close friend of Alexis’ shared this message with us, and we wanted to pass along to you all:
Alexis Cohen was laid to rest with a small, but rather beautiful ceremony held at gravesite in Allentown, PA. As the rabbi spoke he gave mention to the video you made in tribute to Alexis, giving emphasis on how we all should have such HUTZPAH! Many donations came in after you posted your link. Her mother and friends are forever grateful.
Interestingly enough, the same week that Alexis passed away, a Japanese DJ we have been talking with, Aura Qualic, sent us a club remix of our tribute to Alexis. You can download the remix for free from the music page (under WebSongs, Vol. 2). Check out more of Aura’s work at his site.

Again, you guys are really something special! pleased to know the contributions given were of help, though I was unfortunately unaware of you guys or the situation until recently. Wish I could have been around to contribute. At times like this you guys make pretty amazing role models =)
You guys are good people and what you do for people is great. You bring smiles to people who are sad and Laughter to those who have not laughed thanks for being you.
This was a great thing for you guys to do for her.. shows what truly fantastic people you are.
You guys are amazing role models. You do nice things like this for people who you’ve never really met face to face, and I look up to you for that. I wish I were as outgoing and friendly as you guys.

I wasn’t able to contribute to Alexis’s funeral fund personally, but I’m glad that many have. In situations like that, it’s wonderful to know the kindness in people and that there’s always something a little good in something bad. I continue to wish the best for Alexis and her family.
As for the remix by Aura Qualic… *_* WOW! I’m definitely going to check out his other work. Very impressive!
