The Have a Good Summer Show

You probably know by now that last night’s show was the last one before our hiatus (or sabbatical, break, or hibernation) from live broadcasting. We kind of saw the show like the yearbook signing party at the end of the school year, so we read from one of our old yearbooks. Enjoy:

We may be taking a break from the regular live show, but we’re not taking a break from Internetainment. We’re actually introducing some really cool new tools for all of us to stay connected. Go over and become a part of the Kommunity right now! It’s our new Rhett&Link social network where you can get inside information all summer long. You can upload pictures, songs, and videos of your own and get to know other Kommunity members that are just as weird as you. Also, you’ll have a chance to participate in the Summer 2009 CBE and win prizes of your choice.

There were no computers available but I was still able to catch it. (thank goodness for iPods!) Although I wish I was able to participate in the chat, it was probably crazy in there!

Great show I’m loving the new Kommunity, I’m already seeing how many ways I can waste my time on there. Will definately be entering the CBE (Will have to brainstorm some ideas….) looking forward to all the new things for summer!

Also especially for you Link I am working on that T-Shirt design. If I messed up the slogan please forgive me.

The Kommunity is going to be a great thing! Looking forward to being a part of it!

You did make me cry several times from laughing so hard. I loved Rhett’s heartwarming story of survival and sleeping bags.

It’s going to be hard making it through the summer without the show every week but it’ll make it even better when it comes back! Have a good and productive summer.

Have a good summer you two!!!

    Camille ;)

dodge dynatsies r pretty bad man, pretty bad. My brother used to have one but he got rid of it. I probably wood hve used 1 of the kids in my school’s name 2. Ha ha my friends do the same things!!!!

    Wow......

I am weird! Some of my friends say I’m weird, and some say that you are weird. I agree with both statements. I like weird things! Take Invader Zim for example. Hilarious show, and funny. “Hey Deddy, this is us eatin’ chicken. Remember?”
Btw, i wasnt able to watch the show live, sadly, but I’ll watch the entire episode.
I was bored, so I made Mii’s that look like you guys, and used them on Wii Music!
Oh no! I forgot Rhett’s chinstrap! And Link’s 5:00 shadow! I’ll fix that in the morning.
I misspelled hiatus, but it still turned out funny. Wake up, live internet appendage!
TT_TT!! Poor Rhett Bird!! “One was a president who changed…”

Good summer guys, enjoy, relax and “don t worry about a thing, cause every little thing, gonna be all right” (Thanx Bob for those lines, i think they express the joy of disconnect yourself 4 a while).
Miss the last one, this one (live of course, I already saw it) but 4 a good reason. Skatalites play in Montevideo, so, an unmissable concert 4 me, and it was truly exceptional. Just in case some reggae lovers don t know them, they mix jazz and ska, they do it great, and they are history.
So, c ya in ning and thank you 4 interneteining us, you r doing an excellent job, the best for both and your families.

    MY CHRONOLOGICAL COMMENTS
-”And you didn’t win anyway.” That’s really obnoxious! TT_TT
-If Pokey was on Survivor, and so was I, I would write on my ballot “Anyone but Pokey”, and he would win all the games anyway. I guess it really is “the fabric of our lives…”
-That demented music was hilarious! How do u play it? I could use it to annoy my family.
-Internet Peanut Butter? I don’t like peanut butter, but I’m not sure whether I’ll die or not. I’m not going to try, as my dislike towards the “nuttery” [is it a sauce?] is huge. “P.S What does P.S. mean?” P.S.S. “nuttery” is a combo of butter and peanut.
-It’s just like summer camp! (not really)
-I have alot of CD’s from the 80′s, thanks to Jimmy Buffett, James Taylor, and Eric Clapton!
-You’re willingness to do things for people is one of my favorite things about u guys.
-Rhett and Link are turning into Doc Ock! Or a starfish, since its like when they lose an appendage, they get a new one. Although they are not losing it perse (or however you pronounce that) [pur-say].
-I watch your videos nonstop. I can’t get off the computer without at least watching them. I’m also working on getting all your songs. I have the Sunburn Song (currently my favorite), the Dead iPod Song, the Facebook Song, The Freelance Fireworks Hall of Fame (Extended Version), the Color Wars Song (also in my top 5), the Cornhole Song, the Resolutions Revolution Song (great harmony!), Pluto on the Rebound, and the Economic Meltdown ’08 song.
-Can’t wait for the Ms. Locklear documentary to come out!
    -Epic lighting at the end!

Rhett, your F demented was sheer brilliance.
I’m going to miss the show over the summer, but I am really enjoying the Kommunity.

What else will i possibly do now on thursday nights at 9 pm the summers the best part

As always, I love taking the walk with you both down memory lane. Definitely going up there next to the ‘Reminiscing Show’ as one of the best kasts.

Warning: This comment contains heavy psychoanalytical blabber. Forgive me.

I like the fact that there was significant meaning behind your Big Bird and playmobile childhood memories. Those experiences, as all life experiences do, helped shaped who you both are now. You guys were able to feel at an early age what it’s like to want something so bad and not get it due to circumstances beyond your control.

The inspiration behind those stories lies in that you set your minds and hearts on doing something and took the initiative to achieve your goal. Look at yourselves now, living out your dreams without a guaranteed reward or desired outcome.

Although, I have no clue what hidden truths lie behind the Pokey story. You guys might need to seek professional help for that.

    jackstone (Jackie)

Comment err: I meant the Tucker Story is what you guys might need to seek pro help for. Not the Pokey Story. ‘Ode to Pokey’ song was just lovely. =)

I’m only at less than 25 minutes, in tears laughing and Rhett says, “Let’s make people cry”…

    April

Yeah, you guys are insane. Jumping in a mud puddle, that, 5-10 ft. underneath, is the burial place of your dog is one of the most disrespectful things to do to your dog, or anyone. But I still “love” you guys. Not in a bromance kinda love, but a “brotherly” love kinda thing. I was going to write a whole paragraph about how I’m not “fruity”, but I figured that would raise suspicion of something that isn’t true.

    waldo

I think I will try to recommend this post to my friends and family, cuz it’s really helpful.
