It’s a natural law. Every family has at least one person who has a knack for giving downright awful gifts. And it seems that there’s something about the holiday season that intensifies this ability. Maybe it’s the fact that they’re forced to give gifts to a number of people, as opposed to zeroing in on one person for a birthday. It’s no mystery that this person is going to stay true to form this year, so we wanted you to be prepared. It’s not ingratitude….it’s honesty.

My husband will probably send this one to my parents, the sad part is I always help pick out the gift and I’m always sure he’d love it. I mean who doesn’t want an “R-2 Pota-2″ He already has “Darth Spud” so it will complete the set, right? Apparently not, he would rather get socks.
The person who gives probably the WORST gifts is: OUR DAD.
Last year for Christmas he gave me my ring(that I already owned) and his old MP3 player that died the next month lol…
That year it really was all about the “Thought” counting.
But I still love him, at least!

Seeing as I can’t recall a bad gift (I mean seriously bad. There’s weird and mediocre, but I can handle that), I’ll tell you of my friend who is a teacher. She got a wedding candle for a Christmas present from a student. My friend is single. Lesson 1 in gift-giving to teachers – let the parent at least have some common sense as to what should be given.
Ah yes… I feel so bad every time I get a gift from this family member… She’s also the one person in my family that makes strange foods that no one will eat.
One year she burned me a disk of so called “popular” songs and titled it as her “First Burn” claiming it to be the first disk that she ever burned. Unfortunately, I have a little over 30 people in my family and we all celebrate Christmas together. Everyone got a disk and they all the disks said the same exact thing… It was nice that she thought of us all but I don’t think any of us kept the CD… If I have it, It’s buried in my closet.

my worst gift ever was given to me when i was probably 4 or 5. it was a vacuum cleaner! i’m pretty sure i cried. i hated vacuuming and come to think of it, i still do…hmmm.
Peanut Brittle….I get Peanut brittle every year from my wife’s LOADED grandpa…i know Christmas isn’t about receiving but apparently it’s not about giving either…oh yeah…I hate peanut brittle. And to make it worse…that’s what he gives EVERYONE!!!
