Wheel of Mythically Idea: RHETT gets to re-spin the wheel!

Before I was a brony (yes i am female, bronies can be girls too) I thought my little pony friendship is magic was stupid, but then i watched it… I was addicted from that point on. This show is the best! It has loveable characters that develop, the plot lines are great and non-cheesy, and the animation is playful and fun. What’s not to love?
Of course going into it you’ll think it’s silly and girlish, prepare to be wrong. I think everybody should watch it.

Bronies do deviate from the norm, but why is the “norm” the way it is, and should it BE the way it is?
I identify as a brony, and one of my roommate (probably one of the most ignorant people I’ve ever known..for reasons other than this) actually criticized me for liking ponies, stating that I was a brony simply because it deviates from what is “normal.” While such may be the case for some, most fellow bronies I know do not enjoy MLP: FiM for such reasons.
Personally, the show is awesome (imo) because:
The animation is great. It’s just very well done.
The characters and scenery is well drawn, and much more aesthetically appealing than previous generations of MLP (and to many other animated shows).
The characters and their personalities are probably the driving force behind the love of ponies. They are very lovable when you get to know them (through watching episodes of the show.) For example, Fluttershy. She is a very shy, introverted character. In other TV shows, such a character annoys the hell out of me, like Cassie (?) in Dragon Tales… Point is, the show does very well in connecting people with the characters, instead of just displaying the characters with their various character traits.

This comment is a tad long, and I still feel I’ve only touched the tip of the iceberg on how and why many bronies feel that MLP: FiM is so extraordinarily awesome.
